Arab football’s rare World Cup derby returned in Germany 2006 when Saudi Arabia and Tunisia met at Munich’s Allianz Arena during the group stage. The contest lived up to expectations, ending in an entertaining 2–2 draw. Yasser Al-Qahtani and Sami Al-Jaber scored for Saudi Arabia, while Ziad Jaziri and Radhi Jaïdi found the net for Tunisia.
