Women's Africa Cup of Nations Kicks Off in Morocco on July 25th
Egypt, Morocco and Algeria head to Morocco for the Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
The 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations is underway in Morocco, running from July 25th to August 16th, with the continent's top 16 teams competing, including three Arab nations: Egypt, Morocco and Algeria. Egypt are making their first Women's Africa Cup of Nations appearance since 2016, ending a decade-long absence from the tournament. The Egyptian team opens their campaign against Zambia on July 28th as they look to make an immediate impact on their return to Africa's premier women's football competition. Meanwhile, hosts Morocco will be aiming to go one step further one home soil after finishing runners-up in 2022, when they reached the Women's Africa Cup of Nations final for the first time in their history.
