Turkish Fans Flood Salah's Socials Begging Him To Join Their League
Reports of a move to Beşiktaş sent Turkish fans flooding Mohamed Salah's social media, all begging him to come to Turkey. His agent says even he doesn't know where Salah will land next.
Mohamed Salah has spent the past few hours at the centre of a social media storm. Reports linking the Egyptian captain and former Liverpool star with a move to the Turkish league set the internet alight, and Turkish fans wasted no time making themselves heard.
A Fan Invasion of his Comments Section
Salah's official accounts have become a battleground for Turkish football fans. As rumours of negotiations with Beşiktaş gathered pace, thousands of comments flooded his recent posts on Instagram and X, all carrying the same message: come to Turkey. It wasn't only Beşiktaş fans.
Supporters of arch-rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe piled in too, each making the case for why the 'Egyptian King' should wear their shirt if he does start a new chapter in Turkey.
Not the First Time
This didn't come out of nowhere. Beşiktaş fans had already made their intentions clear. At the press conference unveiling new signing Leandro Trossard, supporters chanted Salah's name in front of the club president, urging the board to sign him.
Ramy Abbas Settles the Matter
With speculation spiralling, Salah's agent Ramy Abbas stepped in. Posting on X, he denied reports of a move to any Turkish club, and admitted that even he doesn't know where Salah will end up.
I personally do not know where Mohamed will play next season. What does that tell you?
For now, fans can only wait for the final word from Salah himself, after his amicable exit from Liverpool at the end of last season and a standout showing with the Pharaohs at the recent World Cup.
